A background in both sides of the camera
Photography runs in the family. Growing up surrounded by cameras, photographs and the habit of documenting life gave Billie a foundation that started long before any formal training or professional work.
That professional work developed into years of experience in corporate photography and visual marketing, building a strong technical and commercial understanding of how imagery works. Not just what makes a good photograph, but how images communicate personality, identity and a story.
Understanding performers from the inside
Outside photography, Billie is a pole dancer. Movement and creative expression are central to her life, not just her work.
Growing up as a performer means she knows what it feels like to be in front of a camera rather than always behind it. She understands how personal a performer's craft is, how much it matters that the final images are genuinely yours, and how to create an environment where that can happen.
That same understanding extends to portrait clients who are not performers. Many people find being photographed uncomfortable. Knowing that from personal experience shapes how every session is run.
Based in Bristol
Billie grew up in the North Island of New Zealand and moved to the UK in 2026. Bee Marie Photography is based in Bristol, with availability to travel across the South of England, to London, Bath and further across the UK and Europe for the right project.
